Renting Homes Wales Act and Supporting Legislation
Documents for use by private residential landlords and letting agents in Wales, to assist them in navigating their way through, and preparing for, the changes coming into force on the 01 December 2022 under the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 and supporting legislation. It was due to come into force on 15 July 2022 but has been delayed to allow time for landlords to comply with the changes, and for the Welsh Government to introduce supporting legislation.
Private residential landlords and letting agents in Wales must understand these changes and start preparing so they are ready when the changes come into force.

These documents will be reviewed and updated (if necessary) in line with any supplementary legislation or supporting guidance which may be published by the Welsh Government.
